Don't Sing Out, Luanne! Real (Drunk) Housewife Reportedly Tossed Out of Gay Piano Bar

It was a less-than-enchanted evening when "Real Housewives of New York City" star Luann de Lesseps tried to turn a piano bar into her own cabaret show, reports said, adding that she was ejected from the premises – a claim Lesseps denies.

"The 56-year-old reality star, who performs her own 'Countess Cabaret' show, already seemed sozzled when she showed up at the piano bar Townhouse in Manhattan on Wednesday night, witnesses say," according to Page Six.

"She monopolized the piano, but that isn't how it works," a source told the newspaper, adding that typically a patron sings a song and then surrenders the mic.

"Luann thought she was doing her act," another source recounted, describing how Lesseps' attempt to sing one of her own songs, "Money Can't Buy You Class," fizzled because "they didn't know it. They know standards."

"The piano player was like, 'I don't know the song,' and she responded, 'It's a hit!'" the witness added.

"The critically trashed song apparently sold 19,000 digital copies," Page Six noted.

After serenading the bar with "jumbled versions of songs," Lesseps started getting booed by the crowd, the account said. Lesseps responded by "'yelling at the gays, 'You don't know me! I'm a cabaret star!'" the source said.

After hurling "Fuck you!" at the audience, Lesseps was eventually ejected from the establishment, Page Six went on to say.

But Lesseps told a different story to UK newspaper the Daily Mail.

"I went out and I was feeling all Jovani but clearly money can't buy you class, especially with an audience who doesn't appreciate my music," the outlet quoted Lesseps telling them in an email.

As Lesseps tells it, she and Jim Kierstead, who produced "Kinky Boots," "arrived together at the establishment around 10:30 p.m., when 'there were a bunch of people singing and it was a fun, boisterous crowd.'"

"I realize I was a little bit tipsy," Lesseps told the press, "but we were having fun and it was getting late. I'd been rehearsing and I was in the mood to sing a few songs."

"Then Jim said to me, 'Lu, I have an early rehearsal,' and then we left around midnight, 11:30 p.m."

The Mail noted that Lesseps "has a history of issues with alcohol," recalling that she "was arrested in 2017 on charges of disorderly intoxication, resisting arrest, battery of an officer and making threats against a public servant while in Palm Beach, Florida."

"But I live to see another day – chic cest la vie!" Lesseps told the Mail, which the outlet noted is a reference to her single "Chic C'est la Vie."

"Long live fun nights out in New York City," Lesseps added.
