Elite Athletics, 'Elite' Alum, First-Look Photos: Check Out Netflix's 'Olympo'

Last year's Paris Olympics may have featured a groundbreaking 195 openly LGBTQ+ athletes, with at least 65 of them taking medals, but with an upcoming Netflix show about elite young athletes training at a facility in Spain, there's the promise of even more representation.
"The country's best athletes train at the Pirineos High-Performance Center, such as Amaia, the captain of the national synchronized swimming team who demands only the best from herself and does not allow any mistakes," the logline for "Olympo" thumbnails.
The description suggests that there are hints some among the youthful athletes might be doping.

"After years of pushing their bodies to the limit and sacrificing their lives for the sport," the synopsis concludes, "they face a dilemma: How far are they willing to go?"
Further than viewers might anticipate, to judge from steamy teen dramas like "Elite" and, in the U.S., "Euphoria."
"Olympo" comes from the same studio as the recently concluded "Elite," and features one of that show's actors in a new role, according to Australian newspaper the Star Observer.

A batch of photos dropped along with word of the forthcoming series, with male cast members in rugby uniforms snuggling, boys and girls in swimwear crowded into a sauna, two hunky male jocks posing with a female colleague, and a pair of guys getting physical with what might be rivalry, erotic heat, or a testosterone-fueled combination of both on the field of play.
I would like to call your attention to OLYMPO, a new Spanish series coming to Netflix this year that's set at a school for elite athletes

Other handsome thesps credited in the cast include Agustín Della Corte, Mario de la Rosa, and Luis Choro, as well as María Romanillos, Clara Galle, and Melina Matthews.
