Heat Wave: Summer Fashions to Crank Up Your Thermostat

ASOS
Neutral. Simple. Clean lines. These are the inspirations for ASOS's 2015 Summer Collection. If you've got the boldness to go for it, white from head to toe will make a statement whether you're hitting the streets or the clubs.
Of course, we all know things can get a bit messy when the weather warms up, so the '90s-inspired collection also offers plenty of riffs on black to hide your indiscretions. Print clashing is also big this season, so don't be afraid to mix and match to create a style uniquely you.
Topshop
For women looking for an easy, breezy approach to summer, Topshop delivers a retro collection perfect for cocktails on the beach, a farmstead picnic or a backyard barbecue. Highlights include such crocheted pieces as a panel top and shorts.
Daisy Dukes are reinvented in several incarnations, and for those with more formal summer occasions, various black cocktail dresses riff on tradition by incorporating suede and fringe and a no-fuss maxi dress is perfect after a day at the beach.
River Island
Nods to the '70s imbue River Island's Spring/Summer Collection for women, including plenty of flared pants and palazzos, floppy hats and big prints. The palette runs the gamut from ochre and turquoise to lavender and pale yellow.
The men's collection is a bit more subdued, with floral patterns once again making an appearance as well as plenty of neutral pieces in white, gray and black. Pops of color find their way in ombre swim trunks, watermelon print shorts and other beachwear.
Yiqing Ying
Women wanting a "wow" factor have no further to look than the latest creations from Yiqing Ying, whose dynamic draping, pleating and sculpture techniques offer modern silhouettes that defy trends.
The intuitive designs feel borne out of nature yet incorporate innovative technical elements. This season's palette merges warm grays and black with muted coral greens, teal and taupe, along with occasional accents of gold and pale yellow.
