Scandal - The Complete Third Season

"Scandal: The Complete Third Season" is now available on DVD, just two days before Season Four's premiere on ABC at its new time slot, 9:00 p.m. All eighteen episodes, along with never-before-seen bonus features, can be yours to re-watch, or catch up on, in preparation.

This season was a bit shorter than Season Two's twenty-two episodes, mainly due to Kerry Washington's pregnancy, but that didn't prevent Olivia Pope, her gladiators, Mama and Papa Pope -- her scoundrel parents, and the powers-that-be at the White House -- from keeping viewers on the edge of their seats. This season provided the inside story on the characters we love to hate, and in this viewer's opinion, the most riveting characters in the series: Mellie Grant and Papa Pope.

Mellie Grant, portrayed by Bellamy Young, has increasingly become one of the most interesting female characters on network TV. This season reveals her backstory and we realize what really motivates the whiskey-guzzling First Lady. She is definitely a scene-stealer! Mellie may not be a scrupulous person, but she's a fascinating, sharped-tongued gal, and so fun to watch.

Eli Pope, played by Emmy-Award winner Joe Morton, is spellbinding to watch in Season Three. Just when you thought Olivia's father, a.k.a. "the hell and high water," couldn't get more evil, the finale will prove otherwise.

An extended version of that last episode, "The Price Of Free And Fair Elections," is included on disc four, along with Deleted Scenes, Bloopers, a feature on Cyrus Beene, "Jeff Perry: In the Moment," and "Creating D.C. in LA," where the creative teams explain how they make visual magic. Visual and audio elements: Color, Dolby Digital 5.1, NTSC, and Widescreen, with English, French, Spanish subtitles.

This Blue-ray/DVD set will allow obsessed, I mean, devoted fans to savor the heart-stopping moments of Season Three.
